The Far Southeast Family Strengthening Collaborative Inc. (FSFSC) is hosting three events over the next couple months. Events later in the month will also be shared in our community events postings, but the first event is a Job Fair tomorrow (Thursday) night.
Thursday night’s Full Collaborative Meeting, with the theme: ”JOBS NOW!,” will be host to representatives from Homeland Security, Green Jobs and other local employers. Participants will be able to apply for jobs right then and there.
The meeting will take place at the United Planning Organization (UPO) Petey Greene Center, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The FSFSC will also be hosting a Mini-Grant Program Cycle at the beginning of March, and their 11th Annual Business Meeting and Family Community Conference come April 17th. For more information on these, see the flyer above, or check the March Community Events post on our website. If you still have questions, contact the FSFSC office at (202)-889-1425.

Hi Kwame,
I commend you and your very capable staff for maintaining this information tool. So often we discuss our community from a deficit perspective, how about focusing on the positive. For example, the students who are attending Phelps or Excel Institute. In some cases they must navigate through stressful situations and yet they emerge as conquerors.
It would be interesting to do a documentary on the many warriors we have among us who trudge through battle grounds and make it inspite of rather then give into their situations. You are just the person to do such a thing. Keep up the good work!
