David Roffman, former co-owner of the Georgtowner, was honored Wednesday with the Georgetown Business Association’s 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award.  At-Large Councilmember Kwame R. Brown presented a letter of congratulations to Mr. Roffman in recognition of his service to the community.

“Throughout your journalistic career, you have worked to ensure that readers are well-informed of the decision made to improve their quality of life, while encouraging community participation in the neighborhood development that surrounds them,” Councilmember Brown wrote in the letter.  “The residents of the District of Columbia have unique stories to tell, many of which go unheard.  I thank you for identifying our common humanity.”
