I am thinking “Why can’t get a response to my request for energy assistance?” The energy application that I put in August 2009 has still not been processed. I have sent letters to the two directors, your office, and the Office of Aging. I have not received a response from anyone. President Obama gave extra funds for energy assistance to the District of Columbia government, and I want and need assistance. I was told by a representative at the energy office that I could come in to the office on the day that my gas is to be discontinued, or if my gas is disconnected. This is rediculous. Today, I am taking more drastic measures. I am not going to allow myself to be stressed out over the threats of discontinuing my gas, and having my application sitting on a back shelf, lost, and not being processed. If you are unable or unwilling to assist, you or your staff could at least respond to my letters, e-mails, and request for assistance.
