Jumpstart, a national non-profit dedicated to helping prepare pre-school children for academic success, is getting ready to kick off their 5th annual Read for the Record campaign. Read for the Record is “the world’s largest shared reading experience,” where kids across the world all read a particular children’s book simultaneously.
Before they begin, however, they’re holding an open vote to help choose the book for this year’s campaign. For every vote, the Pearson Foundation, a sponsor, will contribute $1 to help Jumpstart continue its noble efforts.
The candidates, all classic children’s books, are as follows: Blueberries for Sal, Make Way for Ducklings, Peter’s Chair, and The Snowy Day.
