This year, the Committee on Economic Development chaired by At-Large Councilmember Kwame R. Brown will fulfill its Council oversight responsibilities to ensure fiscal responsibility, transparency and accountability in the city’s budget. The committee announced the following budget and performance oversight schedule for the year and encouraged residents to participate in the upcoming committee open house on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. All hearings will be held in the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Ave., NW in the room specified below.
Those who wish to testify should contact S. Antonio Brentini at the Committee on Economic Development by email at SBrentini@dccouncil.us or by telephone (202) 727-6683. E-mail contacts should include the full name, title, and the company name, if applicable, of the person(s) wishing to testify.
