The DC Commission on Arts and Humanities is seeking DC Public School and DC Public Charter School student artwork to be included in a citywide art exhibition that will highlight the best artwork created during the 2009-2010 school year. The selected works will be honored with a gallery show and opening reception on June 4th, 2010, at the Historical Society of Washington D.C. The top ten works will be purchased by DCCAH as new additions to the Art Bank collection.
Submissions are due Friday, March 19th, at 5:30 pm.
The competition is open to all students attending DC Public and Public Charter Schools in Prekindergarten through 12th grade. Applications should be completed and submitted by art teachers on behalf of the student. Each school is invited to submit their top three works produced in art class this year.
